19.30 Mapping Projection “Project-M”(Teviot Debating Hall) [Free Admission]

For the 2nd consecutive year, Syn Festival offers its audience the opportunity to experience a unique digital illusion created by a number of artists from across Europe. This mapping projection installation will be live on Thursday the 16th of March, 7.30pm, at the Debating Hall of Teviot Row House. The installation has been produced using various artists’ video artworks, which will be projected on a 4 x 2 metre sculpture.

The contributing artists include Lefteris Kastrinakis, Clara Aparicio Yoldi, Chiara Cossu, Nadiaki Der, and Kostnantinos Tiligadis.

The installation will be accompanied by Dozen Draft electronic psychedelic ambient tunes, creating a complete audio and visual experience.

For the second part of the event, the Edinburgh-based duo Atzi (Lipsync for a Lullaby, Shamhach Quartet, Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra) and Dave House (The Reverse Engineer) will showcase the experimentation of physical expression – electronic music purely sampled from the cello, voice, and the body.

Admission is FREE. Donations will be given to volunteer groups supporting refugees in Greece.
